Remember when lunging, walk in a small circle with the horse's shoulder. Don't just turn around which tends to make you feel giddy. Safety first. Don't put your hand through the loop and have the excess lunge lead looped in your hand so you can release the lead quickly if necessary. Don't wrap the lead around your hand or arm.
